Youth Hunts - Howell Wildlife Outfitters

People are always saying, “Take a kid hunting”. ‘Goose’ and his professional staff at HWO believe in that concept, and are offering options to make this statement come true. The family unit is very important to us, and we have found through experience that hunting together can create close family bonds. We offer family oriented camps with siblings and parents welcome.

There is not a better time than with our youth to start their hunting experience, teaching them respect, good ethics, and the ‘fair chase’. What better way to teach them this, but through experience. HWO stresses firearm safety, wildlife identification, Americanism, conservation, appreciation and respect.

We encourage our hunters and non-hunters to arrive at least two days early so we may spend valuable time getting to know them, their qualifications and goals for their hunt. This also provides an invaluable opportunity for them to be involved in the actual PRE-HUNT SCOUTING and LOGISTICS, HUNT ORIENTATION and FAMILIARIZATION OF THEIR HUNTING CAMP.

We strongly encourage at least one Non- Hunting Family member accompany the child on this outdoor experience. In fact we offer this Non-Hunter participation at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE IN OUR YOUTH HUNT PRICING.

We strongly encourage you to consider applying your junior hunters for the Special Junior Only Hunts that Arizona, New Mexico and Kansas have to offer. HWO also discounts their normal Application Services Rate for our Youth Hunters.

Hiring Gary Howell and hid team would be something I would recommend. I had the pleasure of working with the HWO team with the Northern Arizona Hunts for Hope program in 2007 bull elk hunting season. He and his team where and are true professionals. They took the time to think of everything that was needed and asked many questions of the 2 young gifted hunters and also their parent. The more information they had the better results could be provided for an opportunity to take a nice bull. We as a whole team had not worked together before and all we had was email and phone contacts with each other. Not knowing what to expect or if everyone will get along. I never felt so welcomed by everyone and I was just the cook. I saw Goose, Lee and Chris work with our young hunters for a week. All I can say is “WOW”; they sure made a lifetime experience for not just the kids and family but for me as well. Team work and communication between everyone on this hunt was awesome. It takes a well organized group and positive people to work together and make a camp of 20 plus people all have fun for 7 days. You will want to keep in contact with them I know this because I keep in contact with them all.
